Councillor

John MacPherson

I was born in Oxfordshire but have lived most of my life in Yorkshire.
My wife Liz and I moved to Sessay in 2003, realising a long-held ambition to buy a Butterfield house.
I am very interested in the history of the village and have been a member of the History Society since its inception. Having joined the parish council in 2005 I thoroughly enjoy the challenges and experiences of helping shape the future of this community.
I have always loved the great outdoors and was a keen pot-holer and rock-climber.
Although I now confine myself to walking, I completed all the 3,000 ft mountains of Scotland in 2011 and still go on regular back-packing trips to the Highlands.
